Comments:
I have heard that some of these men were stationed at Hackness here in Waas. Among them I think was Peter Stevenson - a Shearer man. I think he would have been Pat and Ingerams dad. One was refered to as the Bombadear, dont know which. Just snippets o yarns from people who lived near the camp.

All long before my time you understand!!.

Another wonderful photo to have. Do you mean Ingrahm married to Doris, John?
Had a wonderful stay with them both Sept. last year. Feel very fortunate to view all these wonderful photographs you have Jim. Thankyou again.

Does anyone know if this William Chalmers is the son of James & Isabella (Bella) of Minerva?

No, not the same William Chalmers. Chalmers used to be a common name on the island and many of them were named either James, William, or David . Not easy to decide which family sometimes

Thank you. I thought he looked like him as well as being about the right age.
