A picture of men who used to 'run the lee' over the cliffs of Copinsay to collect birds eggs.

As a lot of the objects in the baskets are not egg-shaped, I wonder if they were having a laugh with the photographer in this picture.

Again the date is an estimate.

Comments:
They are guillemots eggs and are shaped so as not to roll but swivel on the rock ledge. They are disproportionately large pear shaped eggs in a variety of colours and blotches.
