Halfway down Porteous Brae going north. The building on the right was Leslie's old shop and the last building on the left where the street narrows was Wright's Shoe Shop

I can remember my mother taking shoes to Mr Wright to be " mended" and he would always give me one of these old threepenny bits. 1 1/2 p to you young ones. Big money to a 5 year old.
