World War Two gun

One of the exhibits inside the tank at Lyness. Not sure what type it is, but my military training (from Commando books) suggests that it is an anti-aircraft gun.

Comments:
My equally military training from similar sources (may include Wizard, Hotspur and Victor comics in addition to Commando books) suggests a 40mm Bofors AA gun.

A Bofors gun. My dad was one of the crew that manned such a gun during WW2 while stationed at Orkney. We took him back in 2011, his first visit since 1945. Have a photo if anyone interested.
