Hoy in the morning

Fraser writes:
'This is one that i took from the Ola - when it was coming into Stromness. It had been rather a rough crossing - and we had come in through the Flow. It was taken on the 11th March 2002 - at 08.44. I must have been on the 6am boat. I remember trying to get outside that morning to take the pic - and the wind was SO strong i couldn't open the door to go outside. I had to go out the other side - and then walk round the bow. I remember my eyes watering so much when i was trying to take this pic....
I love the light - and the "crispness" of everything in this picture.'

Beautiful picture.
I am looking forward to coming to Orkney for the first time in September.
Is the lighthouse in the foreground on the Point of Oxan, Graemsay ?
Please can someone identify the snow-covered mountain .

Yes for the lighthouse on Graemsay and I would say it was the Cuilag in the back ground on the island of Hoy. Have a good holiday.
